Thank you for your registration for RCYC Junior Club 2024. We look forward to having you join us on the water with us this summer! Valuables & Belongings We strongly recommend participants do not bring valuables with them to the sailing programs. Due to the nature of the activities, there is risk of damage and loss. Please note RCYC is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property while on the premises. Supervision: I understand that RCYC is responsible for supervision only during program hours. I commit to dropping off and picking up the participant at the established times of the program. If I cannot ensure timely supervision, it is my responsibility to arrange for an alternative and communicate with RCYC staff the alternate arrangements. Participants over the age of 16 may leave on their own when program hours are completed, only if prior consent has been given in writing. Missed Classes: RCYC is not required to make up any lost time, or provide financial compensation, due to weather related closures however every effort will be made to provide alternate programming. Participants are to attend all dates as scheduled as per their registration. In the event the participant is unable to attend, make-up classes, refunds, or credits for missed classes will not be provided. Individuals registered to Race Teams that are unable to participate in expected travel, alternate arrangements will be subject to review. RCYC Program Cancellation Policies 1. All cancellations in which registration was made by credit card are subject to a service a fee of 3.5%. 2. All requests for program changes or cancellations must be submitted in writing. 3. If cancellation of enrollment occurs prior to March 31st, 2024, 100% of the program fees charged will be refunded. 4. If cancellation of enrollment occurs between March 31st and May 31st, 2024, 50% of the program fees charged will be refunded. 5. From June 1st, 2024 onwards, no refunds will be issued unless the spot is able to be filled by another participant from the waitlist. RCYC Youth Program Conditions of Enrollment 1. All programs will be billed via credit card at the time of registration. There will only be a member discount available. No membership billings 2. Program fees cannot be pro-rated if a participant elects to partially attend a given session or program. 3. Program change requests made after initial enrollment will be permitted based on availability of space and cannot be guaranteed. Program changes will be subject to $50 administration fee per change. 4. RCYC reserves the right to terminate the continuation of any participant if determined that this is in the best interest of the participant and/or program. Privacy Policy: Unless otherwise required by law, RCYC will never, directly or indirectly, in any manner or for any reason whatsoever: (i) disclose to any person, firm or corporation any of the Personal Information provided, or (ii) use any of the Personal Information for any purpose except in the proper course and for use in RCYC programming. RCYC will not intentionally disclose any Personal Information to any third party without your permission. Photography: We/I hereby grant the permission to photograph and/or record our image and/or voice on still or motion picture film and/or audio tape (collectively the “Images”), and to use the Images to promote RCYC through traditional media such as newsletters, websites, and through social media such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I understand that I waive any claim to remuneration for use of audio/visual materials used for these purposes. This consent will remain in effect in perpetuity; however, consent may be withdrawn notifying juniorclub@rcyc.ca of such withdrawal in writing Release Agreement: I have read the rules and regulations regarding cancellations, waitlists and participant responsibility as laid out online at www.rcyc.ca and agree to be bound by them. In consideration of my child being permitted to take part in the program, I agree to save harmless and keep indemnified The Royal Canadian Yacht Club, and their respective agents, officials, servants and representatives from and against all claims, actions, costs, expenses and demands in respect to death, injury, loss, damage to person or property, howsoever caused, arising out of or in connection with taking part in the RCYC Junior Club Program, notwithstanding that the same may have contributed to or caused or occasioned by the negligence of the same bodies or any of them, or their agents, officials, servants or representatives. I further understand and agree that this release is binding upon myself, my heirs, executors, and assigns.
